About

Hi, I’m Matt

Matt lives in Haarlem with his Dutch wife and three beautiful girls. He grew up in the UK – moving to the Netherlands from Yorkshire ~10 years ago.

After leading large scale projects and teams at companies including Nike, Uber and ebay for the last 15+ years. I made the decision in 2023 to chart a new path. This allowed me to combine my joint passions of investing and entrepreneurship. Supported by my many years in the corporate world – scaling and developing world class international businesses. The stars aligned and Growth Story was born.

Prior to Growth Story, I had the privilege of leading transformation in 4+ international businesses with $1B+ in digital revenues, each #1 in their sector. During that time, I developed deep expertise in deploying strategy, digital transformation, marketing, customer experience, product, insight, tech and data to drive consumer acquisition, retention and value. Building teams to scale best practices. All of this experience and more is put into practice as a Fractional CMO – from developing strategy through to channel execution.

I obtained my Executive MBA from IE Business School in 2021, graduating with Dean’s List honours. My undergraduate study was Political Science at University of Leeds.
